For the Crafter's Companion's Birthday Blog Hop, I've made what I think (IMHO) is a most appropriate birthday card!  It made me smile when I found the image.

This card starts with a piece of 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" purple card stock.  Fold it in half so the card will have a side fold.  In the middle of the card front, I attached a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of peach card stock.  This was attached with Extra Strong Permanent Tape.

On a 3 3/4" x 5" piece of Ultra Smooth Premium Cardstock, are two of the images from the Anthony and Burt "Hoppy Birthday" set.  I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir markers.  After the main image was colored, I used a pale blue in the background.  And a pale peach color to accent the "Hoppy Birthday" text.


I put Stickles Glitter Glue on the fly's wings.  I used 3-D Crystal Lacquer on the frog's eyes, the tear, and the saliva drops from his tongue.  This Lacquer is great for making things in your image look wet.


I placed the colored image in the center of the peach card stock.  Attach it with the Permanent Tape.


I punched out three lit candles from the same purple card stock as the base of the card.  I attached them in the bottom right-hand corner of the card with a bit of Mono Multi Glue.
