This week I am using The Boxer with The Ultimate Tool to make a baby shower favor.
I followed the basic technique instructions that came along with The Boxer. I started with a 5 1/4" square piece of Luxury Centura Pearl Cardstock. I placed this on the The Boxer and scored it at the 1 1/2" mark and all four sides.
I folded and creased all four sides.
Then, I cut small v-shaped notches in each corner.
Next, I applied the Red Liner Tape and folded up the box.
I put the 1/4" round brass brads in the bottom of the box. Then, I cut a 2 3/16" piece of patterned paper to fit in the bottom of the box to hide the brad legs.
I used a paper punch to create a handle for the favor. I used a 1/16" hole punch on two sides of the box. I used small, 1/8" brass brads to attach the handle to the favor box. You could choose to line the entire inside of the box if you want. Or, you I chose not to because I didn't think they were as distracting as the large brads.
I used a punched out piece from the Morehead Luxury Hunkydory Card Collection. I used Extra Strong Permanent Tape to attach it to the front of the box I just made.
I was thinking about ribbon of some type. What do you think? Or maybe bows on the sides?
You can put candy in these boxes. Or maybe nuts? Mints? You decide. That's why I left the box empty ... I want you to choose.
You could use a larger punched out piece and a larger box and use it for a centerpiece. You could make boxes of different sizes and put special prizes in them for door prizes. With all the variety of paper crafts collections offered at Crafter's Companion, the uses are too many to mention here.
Until next time, I am ever searching for inspiration.
