Kanji Card Set

Hello all!  Do you ever need a little something to give someone?  Something to say "thanks for lunch", "you're so kind", or "just wanted to give you a little something"?

I made up this set of Asian cards just for that little something to give.  I made 6 cards using the Kanji stamps from Crafter's Companion.  Just simple cards, but they are handy to have around for many different occasions.

Here's one of them ...

I made the card keeper with the Crafter's Companion Envelobox Creator.  This tool is so cool!  You've got to go check it out!  You can make an Envelobox in many different sizes and depths to suit your own project.

Here's a a couple of  views of my Envelobox card keeper (it's 1/2" deep to hold the cards and envelopes)  ...

Kanji Charm Bracelet

Hello all!  Look what I came up with for this week's Crafter's Companion project!

I used the Crafter's Compainion Kanji stamps for the charms on this bracelet.  The bracelet is a standard size with toggle clasp closure.  The images were put on Shrinky Dink material and cut out.  I punched holes for the jump rings and them shrank them.  After the charms were shrunk, I edged them with red Sharpie marker.  I attached the charms to the bracelet with jump rings.  I'm thinking this would make a good gift set with earrings and a necklace.  Or would that be overload?

Here's a different view ...

For this week's Crafter's Companion project, I used the St. Mellion Church stamp from the Art-Kure collection.  I've done a quick and easy card.  This will be one of my "go to" designs for that last minute rush to get a card out the door.  Changes to colors, image and card size will result in a card for any occasion.

I made a 4" wide by 9" tall card from black card stock.  The image - in black ink on white card stock - was punched with a 3" circle punch.  I attached it to a 3 1/2" circle of red card stock.    I cut a 3/4" strip of the red card stock and attached it to the front of the card.   All attaching was done with the Crafter's Companion Extra Strong Permanent Tape Runner.  I added 5 red gemstones and - voilĂ ! - the card was done!

For my first Crafter's Companion project, I've chosen Set 10 from the new Strawberry Kisses line

I used the Spectrum Noir pens to color the image.  I punched a heart shape above the image.  I backed the image with red card stock.  I decided I'd done the wrong thing - punching that heart shape.  It just didn't look how I thought it would with the red card stock behind it.  I had to think about this problem.  Would/should I color another image?  No - not this time.  I decided to put some glitter glue in the punched area.  Loved it!!  I then added a few little dots of glitter glue to liven it up a little.  I attached this (using the Crafter's Companion Extra Strong Permanent Tape Runner) to a square aqua card with the fold on top.

I think this will make a great card to send to a friend - maybe for Valentine's Day ... or maybe just because.

Until next time, I am ever searching for inspiration.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to everyone!!

As I sailed through the holidays, I was working on projects for Crafter's Companion.  As I was working on projects, I was eating WAY too much!  LOL!!  Today (along with many others I'm sure) I am starting back on my diet.  As I am typing this, I've done very well so far.  But it's going to be hard to get back into the swing of healthy eating again.

I cannot wait for you all to see what I've been up to!  But you'll have to wait until Thursday.  Thursday will be my day to post to the Crafter's Companion Information Blog.  I'll be posting here too.  So far, I've been provided with some fun, cute images, some very detailed and beautiful images, and just recently some Asian images.  There's something for everyone!!

One last thought for today ...

May God bless you all in the coming year.  May you be healthy, wealthy, and inspired.

Until next time, I am ever searching for inspiration.
